Intro
For the longest time companies have dismissed UI and UX design as a second class process.
We've got to create the need for our businesses to start giving design the importance it deserves. Create a domino effect and leaving behind whatever is poorly designed.
Why? Because credibility is based on aesthetics, first impressions are design-related.
Transitioning to good UI and UX is not really that hard.

List every menu and option in your app - its taxonomy. Find the app's main action and target users. Single out duplicate and useless actions.
Build a new list. Remove duplicates and useless actions.
Make it simple, using as little actions as you can. Make it intuitive, put actions in the right places.
Build a sketch for the app using the remapped list. Fitting the app's purpose and highlighting the app's main action.
